About me

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here!

Several of my friends have been telling me for years that I should start a blog and I decided to finally go for it. I’m a typical Type A detail oriented person as well as a Pinterest junkie. Creating and sharing ideas is something that I love to do. I also hope to inspire like minded people and create a community. Here you will find posts on reusing what you already own, fun tips and tricks I have learned along the way, bargain hunting, and farmhouse style decorating along with a few other surprises mixed in. I am also open to requests if there is something that you would like to see or if you want a tutorial.

A little about me. I’m a stay at home mom to three boys (The Big One, The Middle One and The Little One) and married to an amazing man who puts up with all of my crazy ideas. I love to shop for the best deal on pretty much anything and will share them with you. There’s nothing better than a bargain high. I also enjoy decorating our home, taking photos and binge watching Netflix after the kids go to bed. I love to laugh and enjoy a night out with the girls as much as I am able to.

I’m originally from the Jersey Shore and moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2003, hence the blog name Jersey Girl in the South. It was quite a culture shock at first but we love it here! I miss my family and friends dearly but we still visit a few times a year and love when guests come to see us too. I also miss getting to the beach in a few minutes instead of a few hours and all of the fun to be had in the summer time. That said we have totally fallen in love with Virginia and all this state has to offer. This is where we are truly meant to be.

In 2015 we moved from the suburbs to a more  rural area and we could not be happier. We are making this house our own and enjoying starting up our mini farmstead. So far we have chickens and rabbits but there will be more to come soon (much to the dismay of my husband!). If someone told me this is where I would be 15 years ago I never would have believed it.

Subscribe to my email list and follow me on social media to keep up with my latest projects and posts! If you recreate any of my projects I would love to see them! Share a link or pictures under the post. Thanks for reading!

Enjoy this blog? Please spread the word :)
